A thirteen-year-old is lying in the mortuary while the eleven-year-old accused of causing his death is in custody as investigators try to get to the bottom of the incident. A third child, said to be a teenager and brother to the suspect, is in hospital being treated for a stab wound.

According to a statement issued by the police, the deceased pushed the eleven-year-old from a stack of pipes he was sitting on, causing him to fall.

The younger boy complained to an older brother who attempted to enquire from thirteen what happened. However, the thirteen-year-old in turn left and returned with another male who was armed with a pair of scissors.

The group of boys, according to a statement, was involved in an argument which saw the deceased stabbing the old brother with the scissors to his left side lower back.

Upon seeing this, the eleven-year-old who was armed with a knife, removed it from the waist of his pants and stabbed the victim to his left side chest.

The teenager, the police collapsed on the parapet in front of his home. He was picked up by an older brother, Shawn Fletchman and taken to the Georgetown Public Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.

While processing the scene investigators found a brown handled knife which is believed to be the murder weapon and a pair of scissors used in the stabbing of the suspect’s older brother. The pair of scissors was found close to the body of the victim.

The eleven-year-old was accompanied to Turkeyen Police Station by his father.
