A sixteen-year-old boy accused of killing local authority representative, Kyle Solomon was today (February 11th) placed in the Juvenile Holding Centre.
The teenage suspect who cannot be named because of his age appeared in the Georgetown Magistrate’ Court before Magistrate Annette Singh.
Reports are that the suspect who was known to the deceased was caught attempting to break into his shop.
The child attempted to flee but was pursued and caught by Solomon. The two were heard in a heated argument which ended with the teenager stabbing Solomon several times about his body before escaping.
Solomon sustained wounds to his chest, lower abdomen, left side ribs, left arm and left elbow.
Solomon was a councilor on the Georgetown City Council.
