Several persons are now homeless after their Lousia Row, Werk-en-Rust homes were destroyed by fire early this morning.
No one could say how the fire started, but many people had retired to bed when they were alerted to the fire sometime after 3:00hrs.
While some all their worldly possessions others managed to save just some documents such as passports and birth certificates.
The Guyana Fire Service is continuing its investigation into the origin of the fire.
