The Guyana Police Force today issued a wanted bulletin for a 29-year-old Bel Air Springs man, identified as Okeemo Brummell for abduction and subsequent robbery of the victim, Kevin Fiedtkou.
According to a statement from the police, 31-year-old Fiedtkou, the Operations Supervisor at the Aurora Gold Mining, Inc. was held against his will by three men at the Giftland Mall who took him to his Providence, East Bank Demerara home where he was forced to hand over $9.5 million. The men then made good their escape. The police said the wanted bulletin was issued following a review of CCTV camera footage.
However, reports are that the men who abducted Fiedtkou on October 10th identified themselves as police officers. It is said that after robbing the young man of $9.5 million which belonged to his family’s business, the men returned the following day demanding more money. Fiedtkou’s family operates a sand trucking business.
