The Management of Marian Academy today released a statement after a report surfaced that a teacher of the private institution was charged with sexual assault of a student.
The school in confirming the alleged incident said it was made aware of the allegation which occurred in February of 2023. Following an internal investigation, the matter was reported to the police.
According to the statement, while the teacher at the centre of the investigation resigned on February 10, 2023, it remains in full support of the police force investigation.
Marian Academy said it remains steadfast in its commitment to creating the safest possible and best learning environment for students. The goal remains creating and maintaining the best conditions to work and learn for students and faculty staff.
