A twenty-year-old Wismar, Linden man, Kenroy Bradford is dead, and three persons have been taken into custody.
According to a Statement issued by the Corporate Communications Unit of the Police Force, Bradford was in the company of brothers Andrew and Anthony Jacobs also of the Wismar community consuming alcohol at the Blaze Shop, Five Corner McKenzie.
It is said that Anthony Jacob left and spoke with a female bartender in the company of Cyrus Jacobis and four others.
An angry Jacobis reportedly pushed Anthony away which resulted in an argument. Jacobis and his group left the shop, but they were followed by Anthony and his friends after which a physical altercation started.
Jacobis the statement said allegedly stabbed Anthony Jacobs to his abdomen resulting in his falling to the ground. Andrew Jacobs managed to pull his brother away but not before he was cut to his finger.
At the end of the fight, Andrew took his brother Anthony to the hospital as Jacobis and his group left the Five Corner.
Bradford however found on the ground by persons in the area motionless and in a crouching position. The police were called, and he was taken to the Linden Hospital Complex where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Jacobis was arrested later in his bloodied clothing. He was taken to the hospital and upon examination found to have a cut to his back and left ear. He has since been discharged and placed in custody. Also in custody are Andrew Jacobs and Tiffany Fiedtkow. Meanwhile, Anthony Jacob has been admitted to hospital and his condition is listed as critical.
