President of the Caribbean Development Bank Daniel Best held discussions with CARICOM’s Chair Mia Mottley and Secretary General Dr. Carla Barnette.

Mr. Best on his facebook page following the meeting with Barbados Prime Minister Mottley said the Caribbean is facing some of the most critical development challenges.

As the Region’s premier financial institution, the CDB would be setting ambition targets to build resilience to climate change, support sustainable economic development, and create opportunities for our youth to flourish and prosper right here at home.

The discussions he said focused on harnessing the collective strengths of the bank, the government of Barbados, CARICOM, borrowing and non-borrowing member states and other development partners to accelerate impact and improve the lives of the people in the region.

The meeting with Dr. Barnett which was described as productive, was centered on sectoral development and matters focused on the development of the region.
