Businessman Azruddin Mohamed has denied recent rape allegations made against by a seventeen-year-old girl. He also said that he is prepared to fully cooperate with authorities and wished that a thorough investigation is conducted.
The teenager made the allegations during an interview with social media personality – Guyanese Critics.
In a statement released on his facebook page, Mohamed described the allegations as baseless and absurd, adding that it is an attempt to tarnish his reputation.
Mohamed said given the seriousness of the allegations he is encouraging the young woman to lodge an official complaint with the police for a thorough investigation to be conducted.
The businessman said he was committed to the rule of law and was urging the authorities to give the matter the urgency and attention it rightfully deserves.
He said while he was waiting for the evidence and full investigation, he will continue to assert his innocence.
